Rev. James Robert White

"Robert (James) White while following his trade of blacksmith served also as a minister in the Methodist Church, and in all his worthy efforts was seconded and assisted by his estimable wife Sarah. Twelve children were born to them, and five sons of the family became preachers.
Robert (James) was a descendant of one of the oldest families on the Jersey Coast. This family has been a power house in the Methodist Church and has always stood for temperance, law and order. " History of the New Jersey Coast"
